On July 1, 2013 the Department of Energy (DOE) issued a pre-publication Federal Register notice of final rule regarding test procedures for two-stage and modulating condensing residential furnaces and boilers. The test procedures are effective 30 days after the date of publication in the Federal Register and are required to establish compliance with the applicable energy conservation standards starting 180 days after the date of publication in the Federal Register.
